Black History Month: A Month of Celebration
February is Black History Month. This month we celebrate all of the African-American heroes that path the way for us and that are continuing pathing the way. We are celebrating the heroes that did everything they can for African Americans to be equal any other Americans.
Some of are those heroes are Rosa Parks, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Harriet Tubman, and Malcolm X. These heroes made a difference in the black community. It is important that people learn about these heroes because some people do not how bad African-Americans were treated in those days, especially in the southern states. In addition to that, the Black Panther Party had a big part of those days because, they got tired of seeing black people being arrested for no reason, for that they patrolled the streets to protect the black community.
Back in those days, our brothers and sisters had a lot that they were going through and it was not right. Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King made a sacrifice for us to get along with anybody and sit anywhere we want to on public transportation. Today, there are activists that are making a difference in the world today.
There is so much that we as a people can do for the black community such as building homes for the families who had lost their home, donating to charities, and to just to be there to give them a little inspiration and to tell them that we are going to get through it with them. On that note, it is important that we learn about our black leaders because they really made a difference in the world. We are still pathing the way and making them proud of our doing. So, let's continue making a difference and walk on this path that our heroes walked us for generations to come.
