State of NBA Live: Restoring The Franchise

 EA Sports NBA Live is one of the beloved franchises for sports gamers but in recent years, EA hasn't really given us an update on the series as of late. The last game that came out was NBA Live 19 and it was successful at the time that it came out competing with their competitor. Then, when the next installment was announced in Live 20, a statement was sent out by EA saying that they were gearing up for next-gen. Since then, we haven't heard a word about the series. So, here's an idea if they decide to comeback with the series. Have the name of the game simply EA Sports "NBA Live" and expand upon that. Now, the majority of gamers like to play career mode or multiplayer of games. Why not take the seasonal approach? For example, Live Run was one of the most played modes in Live 19. So, have regular 3v3 and 5v5 but also implement seasons within that for players who want to get new gear as every season carries on. Similar to games that have seasons throughout the year. This way when every season comes around players can log in and play different events for gear or upgrades available to them. Next, implement a new mode called "Squad-Up". "Squad-Up" will be an addition to pro-am mode which players can play against other players or recruit them to a player's own team. This will really bring the competitive nature to the game. Finally, seasonal hoop circuits throughout the NBA regular season. This is where players can earn exclusive seasonal gear and unlock seasonal themed courts. Also, an online all-star event for All-Star Weekend where players can compete in all of the all-star events. There can be trials too, to have a scheduled online all-star game with the players who completed the trials in a certain amount of time. Expand upon that and it'll bring players back to the game. It'll also bring a new freshness to the game as players will have to grind the game out. Overall, this will be a good alternate direction if the series does make a comeback then we'll have a good game that people can just have a fun vibe on.
