NBA Live: Franchise Mode Ideas

NBA Live has been bringing some very good content as of late for the next installment of the NBA Live series with NBA Live 19. We got to see screenshots, rating reveals, courts, and even a teaser of some gameplay footage showing a glimpse of Real Player Motion. They are also showcasing their new career mode "The One" which hit the scene in NBA Live 18. Live is building off of  "The
One" this year but there is another question that is going around in the Live community which is What is going on with "Franchise" mode?

"Franchise" is one of the most played modes in any sports game but to see NBA Live's franchise in the state that it is now, it's going to need some work. As a franchise player myself, the mode was really declining as the series came back in 2013. So, here are some ideas that could make the mode a real-life authentic experience that all players can enjoy and take "Franchise" to the next level as NBA Live heads into the future.

First, when we go into Franchise and choose our team we should start off in the off-season and edit our players within the mode. Then, maybe a month before the draft there should be the draft combine week, where upcoming NBA prospects can showcase their skills in combine drills. In addition to that, there should be a draft combine game which can be playable like it is in "The One". Plus, when a users draft combine is finished they can target a certain prospect on their teams player radar.

Next, when we advance to the draft there needs to a trade option just in case a user wants to trade a draft pick. Next, when we advance further into the off-season the summer league needs to be implemented in Franchise and in "The One" and it needs to be playable. This way rookies can adapt to the NBA game at that professional level as they do in real life. Summer league games should be about 1-2 weeks long just to speed the process up a bit.

Then, as a user advances to the regular season they can have the ability to play in training camp which they can do drills and get their practices in one last time before the season starts. Practices on off-days during the season can be available too. During the regular season, the G-League can be implemented and playable as well. With the G-League implemented, we can keep track of our NBA team and our affiliated team. This is where if a user wants to play or check on their G-League team with G-League checkups. Also, if a user wants to send a player down or bring a player up to their NBA roster they can if they want to.

Next, the trade deadline needs to available before the all-star break and speaking of all-star weekend, we need the Skills Challenge, 3pt Contest, and Dunk Contest. Last but not least, at the end of the season, all of the season awards need to be on display like MVP, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, etc.

Finally, there needs to be coaching options before we go into the game. For example, we can have the ability to pick a certain teams playbook if we want to. Even though these are ideas, this can make franchise mode more playable and enjoyable for players who want to build their franchise the way they want and it will be a real authentic experience that everybody can enjoy.
