WrestleMania 34
WWE's biggest event of the year WrestleMania is set for this Sunday in New Orleans. For us, wrestling fans we are excited to see some high action-packed WWE action at its finest. WrestleMania is not just for the weekend, it's for the whole week. WrestleMania week is the most amazing week of sports entertainment where fans can go to Axxess, signings, and check out the WrestleMania Superstore.
The biggest event that sets the weekend off is the Friday before Mania with the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. This year Hall of Fame class includes superstars like Jeff Jarrett, Hillbilly Jim, Ivory, The Dudley Boyz, and Goldberg. It also came with some special inductions as well. Kid Rock received the Celebrity Wing honor while Jarrius "JJ" Robertson received the Warrior Award. The Hall of Fame has to be one of my favorite events because of the current WWE superstars and legends all on the same roof by recognizing the new inductees coming into the Hall of Fame, and it just an unforgettable experience for both eras.
After the Hall of Fame, tonight is Takeover night. This is where WWE's developmental brand NXT takes stage and superstars can showcase their skills and put on a great show for the fans. On the NXT Takeover card, Johnny Gargano squaring off against his former tag team partner Tommaso Ciampa in an unsanctioned match where if Gargano wins, he'll be reinstated to NXT, but if he loses, he'll be banned for NXT forever.
Next, Shayna Baszler will be taking on Ember Moon for the NXT Women's Championship. Also, The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals where The Undisputed Era vs. The Authors of Pain vs.Roderick Strong and WWE UK Champ Pete Dunne in a triple threat tag team match for the NXT Tag Team Championship and for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic trophy. In addition to that, the newly NXT North American Championship is on the line where Adam Cole of the Undisputed Era will go to battle with recently acquired signee EC3, Killian Dain, Lars Sullivan, Ricochet, and the Velveteen Dream in a Ladder match.
Finally, NXT Champion Andrade "Cien" Almas will go against Aleister Black for the NXT Championship. From what I hear, NXT is on a completely new level. NXT is the future, NXT is now. This will be something us wrestling fans remember for generations to come so hang on because NXT is taking over.
Now, tomorrow is the big day, we will see all of the best rivalries settled in that 20x20 squared circle where all the best competition is dished out in any way possible. We will see Randy Orton defending his United States Championship in a Fatal 4 Way against Rusev, Bobby Roode, and Jinder Mahal. Next, there is the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and the high-flying cruiserweights of the 205 Live roster as Cedric Alexander is squaring off against Mustafa Ali in the finals of the Cruiserweight Championship tournament.
There might be some WrestleMania surprises, and will the Undertaker show up to answer John Cena? We can't forget about the progress the women made in the past few years, there will be a Women's Battle Royal as well. Also, the most anticipated debut of new recent WWE signee Ronda Rousey will be making her WrestleMania debut in a mixed tag team match when she teams up with current Raw GM Kurt Angle to take on the power couple of WWE C.O.O. Triple H and Monday Night Raw Commishner Stephanie McMahon.
Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax will be going at it for the Raw Women's Championship plus the winner of the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble Match, Asuka will be facing off against "The Queen" Charlotte Flair in a one of a kind match. Will Asuka's 2-year undefeated streak be broken or will Askua dethrone The Queen?
YestleMania will return as the leader of the Yes movement Daniel Bryan will return to in-ring action after being cleared by WWE, this will be Daniel's first match in 3 years. I can't wait to see what he has in store as he teams with Shane McMahon to go up against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Here's the stipulation though, if Sami and Kevin win they are reinstated to Smackdown Live, but if they lose they are fired from all of WWE.
Also, The Usos will defend their Smackdown Tag Team Championship against The New Day and The Bludgeon Brothers in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match. Will the Uso penitentiary be open or will the leaders of the power of positivity become 5x tag team champions or will both The Usos and The New Day be taking to the swamp by the Bludgeon Brothers? The Intercontinental Championship will be on the line as The Miz takes on Finn Balor and Seth Rollins in a triple threat match. Next, The Bar will go up against The Monster Among Men Braun Strowman and a mystery partner for the Raw Tag Team Championship.
The dream match we all been waiting for Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. This will be a match for the ages! Finally, the main event is a WrestleMania 31 rematch as The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar will square off against Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. Will Reigns be taken to Suplex City or will the big dog hold his yard down and slaying the beast? This WrestleMania will be bigger than ever so let's just fasten our seatbelts and enjoy the ride of this WrestleMania experience because it will be a celebration like never before. Welcome to WrestleMania!
